How to make Easy and Delicious Vanilla Extract right at Home!

 

What You'll Need: 

1-2 oz of vanilla beans **1 oz for 1x Fold (Standard) or 2 oz for 2x Fold (Concentrated)

1 cup of 80-proof alcohol like vodka, bourbon, or rum

A food-safe glass bottle with a leakproof lid

 

5 Easy Steps:

1. Split your vanilla beans lengthwise

2. Add the beans and alcohol to bottle

3. Ensure the beans are submerged

4. Store in a dark place like the back of a cupboard

5. Enjoy in 3 months! 

 

Additional Notes: 

Give the bottle a good shake each week to help the extract along

Flavor gets stronger as it brews

For best results, let mature for 6 months

Top off with more alcohol as you use it!
